How does Polkadot work?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Polkadot<\/strong> is a decentralized network that connectsblockchains. RELAY CHAIN<\/h3>\n

PARACHAINS<\/h3>\n

A parachain <\/strong>is a simple blockchain <\/strong>that runs in parallel <\/strong>(hence its name) to the core <\/strong>blockchain of Polkadot, or Relay Chain. <\/strong>These chains can be very different from each other <\/strong>in terms of architecture, government system, tokens, etc. The parachains also enable parallel transactions<\/strong> and make Polkadot a scalable and secure system.<\/strong><\/p>\n
